it's not always constructed in the same manner as time period, but in many cases it is. The design and image of it, although, is consistently been reminiscent of a time period culture. It is not necessarily all 'Western'.
Quality wise I would say it is up there with RLBL and RLPL, for most suiting. There are a few items that fall in the Polo non-made in italy quality, but that is rare.
Think of it as a brand that is trying to take America back to the 20-50s style of clothing, with excessive hand worked details, construction that allows tailors to easily access garments without ruining them, quality that is superb in terms of cotton/wool/silk/cashmere, designs that can be culturally oriented to a specific area and specific time, and inception: specific time in a specific area, designs that are 'trade' oriented (cowboy, police, naval/marine, army, manufacturing/hard labor etc..)

What is the price range of RRL suits? Are they usually included when Ralph Lauren runs company-wide "40% off + 15% kicker sales"?

RRL suits are generally only in their RRL stores. I have never seen them online. I have never seen them on a big sale either, ttyt.

Whoa - that's my size too. Im 6'0" and wear 42R, with 33" waist. RLBL just needs slight tailoring in the sides of the jacket.

What is a "kicker". Like, what IS that.

40% off then an additional 15% off of that.
For the mathematically challenged, it's 49% off.

Do you know if it includes purple label?

FWIW, my SA told me that cordovan shoes were not included in the sale.
However I seem to recall last private sale in-store cordovan shoes weren't included but they were online.

If you didn't/don't get a code, contact Robert at the Chicago store. He's a good guy and a SF member.
