Opinions on Obey/Blackbird denim?

Looking for my entry-level pair of raw jeans, and I was wondering if anyone had opinions about Obey or Blackbird's in-house jeans. I'd like to avoid paying too much for my first pair, and would like to get them unworn...keeping an eye out online, but also looking at cheaper new options.

Obey is in the same price range as Levi's, Cheap Monday, etc. So you're not going to find that much variation in quality. And usually they're also not a true dry (usually once rinsed for softness). I believe an indigo pair of Naked & Famous are still $119, so if that is an option it would be worth the plunge. At the $80 range, get a pair of Unbranded denim.
