It seems noticeable in the pics, but in fact, the pictures come out much darker than the shade of red really is: it's more of a dark, blood red. Thus, the black dot blends in much better. 9. NIB Magnanni Velvet slippers/evening shoes. These are too beautiful to describe, really. The black velvet is plush and has a great luster. I took one picture with flash and one without. The true shine is probably somewhere in between the two... The fourth picture (side profile) seems to get it exactly right. These shoes are marked a 9.5W but fit more like a 10.5 EEE. (I bought these for myself, as I'm about a 9.5 EEE, but I need to flip them as they just won't fit.) Here are the measurements: The outsole measures 12.5" from end to end and the width at the widest part is just over 4". $200-->180--->170
