agree. I owned a distressed moto from them which kind of hid the cheapness of the leather. It wasn't a bad jacket, but getting a good fit from banana republic is hard as hell. It was perfect in the shoulders but the waist flared out like a pillow. I didn't pay anywhere near that much for mine, and wasn't real satisfied, so I'd recommend dropping a couple extra bills and getting something nice that you can wear forever.

I have several leather jackets from them. For the money they are great. The quality of the leather differs from jacket to jacket as it does with all leathers. If it fits and you paid right, you did really good.

I cut the label out from one of my BR jackets. I was wearing it in the RRL store at the RL Mansion on Madison Ave and everyone was asking where I got it. They were all over this piece. Goes to show you...

that particular one is pretty bad, but like others have mentioned they usually run 40% discounts on sale stuff so if you wait for awhile you can get one off the sale rack for ~100 bucks, at which price they aren't bad.

You do realize majority of the general population don't know shit about clothes, right?

+1. Their supima t-shirts feel really nice and are really cheap on sale. Their regular shirts fit pretty well, but I've moved on to LEC ever since they came out. Oh, and I like the jaspe stuff from J. Crew better, but LEC has a similar look for much cheaper. I'll probably try that soon.

I'm not sure how cutting out the label relates to them being "all over it" and asking where you got it. Were they wearing x-ray vision glasses or does BR put their labels on the outsides of their jackets?

BR quality is exactly the same as Old Navy quality. You just pay 4-10X as much.
