Matching Jacket, Vest, but not pants.. bad look ?

Any opinions on this ? Found the jacket to match my vest... but not the pants.. Basically this with different pants (khaki top).. bad idea ?

I actually think that you can do the brown outfit with maybe jeans. it's not a formal suit so may be a cool look. would have to see flicks..

Providing the pants have a decent contrast in colour and texture I think it'll look fine - just avoid anything vaguely similar.
