Firstly I'm tentatively going to be pairing it with this Drakes Silver Grenadine tie and wearing a white shirt:

And wearing these eyeglasses:

And finally wearing Burgundy double monk strap shoes (if that matters). I can obviously stick to plain white, but ideally I'd prefer something in a colour with a pattern/motif. Any suggestions or do's or don'ts based on the above?

I'd skip the tie and maybe change the white shirt to a very light blue one or pink. Otherwise it's three light monochrome colors (suit, shirt, tie). Instead go with some stronger color for the tie and pocket square: black/dark grey/blue/navy/burgundy for tie and maybe pink or purpleish pocket square with a strong pattern. I use a pink madras check (pink base color plus other colors as accents) pocket square from The Tie Bar with my grey suit.

I have this one on the way. I think it'll end up proving quite versatile.

I actually think this could work well, based on the different colors combinations within it:

Or perhaps this one, since it has all the colors of everything in one:

X post from WAYWRN

Got a custom pocket square from the folks at Luxire.

They have a design your own square option where you send them a photo file and they print you a pocket square.

I sent then a file of an old map of the British Empire, and they made me a nice silk pocket square, which I wore today.

I love the square. Still trying to figure out how to wear it and what to wear it with.

Where can I find one similar to this without the chance that the fabric will bleed onto my suit

via Unionmade by Hill-Side (indigo dyed hence the potential for crocking to occur)

To be worn with gray suit and red/maroon tie for meetings. yay or nay?

Hi Guys

First post for a long time lurker.

Have a question regarding colours, I am getting married next weekend and picking up my tux this week which is black with white braces and black velvet bow tie. Now I am not sure what colour pocket square to go for, my fiances wedding dress is ivory and as will the lapel flower so should I get an ivory pocket square or white?

I'm thinking the colour of the braces will not matter as you will only see them when the jacket is off.

Thanks

I already have a white linen but purchased a white silk recently, I was planning on wearing it folded.

Will the silk sag if I fold it?

Generally the silk won't take folds very well (unless it is a blend like wool silk). You're best off making a puff in your preferred style.

Fold linen, puff silk.

I'd wear the folded linen with a tux.
