Firstly I'm tentatively going to be pairing it with this Drakes Silver Grenadine tie and wearing a white shirt:

And finally wearing Burgundy double monk strap shoes (if that matters). I can obviously stick to plain white, but ideally I'd prefer something in a colour with a pattern/motif. Any suggestions or do's or don'ts based on the above?

I'd skip the tie and maybe change the white shirt to a very light blue one or pink. Otherwise it's three light monochrome colors (suit, shirt, tie). Instead go with some stronger color for the tie and pocket square: black/dark grey/blue/navy/burgundy for tie and maybe pink or purpleish pocket square with a strong pattern. I use a pink madras check (pink base color plus other colors as accents) pocket square from The Tie Bar with my grey suit.
