That is also what she said.

I think that most of my squares are in the 12" range, though I do get some slippage with the smoother silk ones. I doubt that would change much if it were nearly twice the size though.

Hermes squares are just over 17".
Drakes squares are just over 16 1/2".
Flusser says "The best size for the pocket handkerchief is the 16-to-18-inch square, and, like the subtle hand-stitched edge of a finely tailored jacket lapel, its exposed points and edges need to be rolled and and stitched by hand for genuine refinement."

I love this range of Drake's lightweight silk squares. Quite large at 16.5" along each edge, so you can do a variety of puffs and color combos, but very thin so you never feel a bulge in your pocket. I don't see the point of heavy silk in a pocket square, where drape is not a consideration.

I bought a couple of 16" squares from Put This On that sadly turned out to be too bulky. One was cotton (Liberty "Strawberry Thieves" print), the other cream slubby silk. Normally I like a 16" square, but the fabric on these was too substantial for those dimensions, so they sit unused in a drawer.

In the future, I'll probably play it safe and only order 14" squares online.

Those pocket squares look amazing! I wonder how the last one looks when it's actually in the pocket.

Cheers! It would be nice to see the foo fold, but a puff would work too.

Apologies, unaware of what a foo fold would be, I hope the image below does give some idea how it would look in the pocket.

I was wondering if you gentlemen could help a novice with a first time pocket square selection. I'm getting a bespoke suit made, it's 90% Worsted Wool, 10% Silk in a very light grey, almost silver with a sheen to it:

Firstly I'm tentatively going to be pairing it with this Drakes Silver Grenadine tie and wearing a white shirt:

And wearing these eyeglasses:

And finally wearing Burgundy double monk strap shoes (if that matters). I can obviously stick to plain white, but ideally I'd prefer something in a colour with a pattern/motif. Any suggestions or do's or don'ts based on the above?
