Thank god. Had there been no name for them, I would have been forced to harangue you for your pitiful error for the next 20 pages of posts.

Perhaps this will be a more appropriate thread . . .

And FWIW I just picked up this beautiful tie from the funny guys at The Knottery

Paired with a gray suit, which PS would go best?

Some texture

I was considering this from The Knottery as well but felt too much patterns going on hence perhaps one of the two solids may fair better

Ghetto imo I don't think any of them work with the tie. You might have to start from scatch.

Nice tie for a gray suit but ^ none of those pocket suares work. The gold/beige/ tan shades don't compliment gray suiting nor do they do anything for the colors in the tie. Go with white linen.

^Agree with T. With the possible exceptions of white/cream silk, and the specific exception of red silk with a white DJ, solid colored silks are never good. Pretty sure the same goes for herringbone and houndstooth squares. Also, no neat on neat violence. If your tie is neat-patterned, your square should not be.

^thanks guys, will wait for the tie to arrive first to see in person.

On a side note, what a wild and awesome approach to a new label. It's sort of like a concept album meets designer collection, with high-quality goods and a strong stylistic point of view. I'm intrigued.

FWIW the Knottery 7 fold tie came in and it is beautiful. Great weight to it and I am hoping a four in hand knot does the tie justice as that is all i know lol.

time to find a PS to accompany it.

PS suggestions for a green knit tie (gray suit)? Currently have white PS as a default

I am too and am kinda liking this one:

SCs are fun and peacocky, but those peaked lapels are rreeaallyy high. I'm not sure I could pull that off (or the fabric behind the lapel).
