Thanks. vandafine clothing is awesome. Was he the optometrist who was selling pocket squares? I also want to see what that member is working on ;-)

Sonlegoman is the optometry student.

 

Almost all the pocket squares discussed on Style Forum are hand-sewn. I make hand-sewn pocket squares, but so do Drake's, Howard Yount, and practically every vendor on this forum, and mentioned in this thread.

any suggestions for pocket squares with dark charcoal? I have not seen too many folks with charcoal suits and ps that aren't white.

It will initially be worn with white or blue shirts.
Fwiw my ties are green, yellow, and blue.

Try working in some dusty purple that has a hint of grey and or a touch of your tie colors. Purple and green is always an attractive combination but it would have to coordinate with the green in your tie.

I'm thinking of making some of my own white linen pocket squares with contrast edges. If I went and bought some linen fabric, does any one have any ideas as to how I could colour the edges?

I'm far from an expert on these things but that never stopped me before!

 

You could get the contrast colored fabric you would like and cut it in stripes and sew it over the edges. I think the contrast colored pocket squares that we see are made in panels, that would be quite expensive I imagine if you would just like to make a few, if you could even find someone that is willing to do it. I''d be interested to see what other guys could come up with!

This was the shade of purple I had in mind against grey . In the breast pocket this is actually subtle. The swirls of greys, golds, magenta, etc gives it a nice presence.

Any of mine that have colored edges, they are all printed that way.
