How on earth do you get a large silk square to stay in place? I know I've seen people posting squares like this and saying they're wonderfully versatile since you can pick sections to present in order to accent different colors in your outfit:

DSC00130.jpg

It's 18", and since I wore a white OCBD, with a navy tie, a navy/yellow/cream vest, and a cream silk jacket, the aqua/navy blend of the square worked wonderfully"”accent, highlight, but not match. But it was a ***** and a half keeping it a) in the pocket at all"”I kept looking down to find a GIANT POOF hanging from my chest, and b) keeping some section with just a hint of the navy showing. It moved constantly, usually ending up in some unappealing poofnk arrangement that just looked horrid. I'd catch a state of grace every few hours, where one position would last thirty, maybe forty-five minutes, but then it would all come vomiting out again, and I'd find myself spending two minutes ******* with it in the bathroom.

The long and short of it being"”no sprezz can be had when I'm constantly worrying if my left breast is vomiting silk. How do you 'anchor' the silk square in place?

Oh, and entirely separate question:

Do you clip the tags on your squares, or just find ways to hide them?

I would clip the tags immediately. You can't do a reverse puff or three-point fold with them, and they make other folds harder. The very sight of them also irritates me a bit.

My squares do not have any tags for precisely this reason.

Those little tags make it impossible for a PS to sit or fold well. Great call on eliminating them on yours, Kent.

I own a blue/white houndstooth from Kent Wang that I wear all the time. I was going to give you the link, but I don't see it on his site anymore.

+1. My first PS (white silk) had one, and I was confounded, because it was impossible to remove without messing up the edge stitching.
Now I'm seeing some boutique PS maker putting BUTTONS on one of the corners. WTF???

I use the tiny clippers on my Swiss Army knife to clip them as soon as they get home.

Good to know about clipping labels.

No secrets to be revealed about keeping silk squares in place, though?

I don't have that problem but I make my silk squares smaller, 12-14".

What exactly is wrong with the TV fold? It's as American as apple pie and native born presidents.

Have you tried apple and rhubarb pie? It's pretty good.

Strawberry Rhubarb pie. Side of the road somewhere on the way to Savannah, GA. Life changing.
