Lately I've been doing the puff but arranging it so that only a thin wide strip peeps out, like a TV fold. The best of both worlds?

Hi all,

Would appreciate what pocket square/tie would work with this.

Navy suit (so not a really dark blue).
Shirt - would want to go solid colour - white, lilac, light blue, pale pink.

Pocket squares i have:
- dark blue with white/red circles.
- bright red with royal blue paisley print
- white cotton
- chocolate cotton

Ties - I've got a few options.

More details here: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=237475

Thank you.

It is very hard to tell from your description and photos because subtle shifts in color or the look of materials in real life can make a lot of difference in the overall effect.

But there are what, 29 pages in this thread of examples and I think it is safe to say that with a classic navy suit, when in doubt a white linen pocket square will always look sharp and classic.

You would otherwise have to show us clear pics with good lighting of other square, shirt and tie combos to choose correctly any other options.

I'd pass. You get what you pay for. Machine edges, stiff fabrics, no hand roll. It's better to pay $20 more and get a nice pocket square from Kent Wang.

I speak from experience, as I own both.

How versatile do you think these mauve ps are for a navy or tan summer sport coat? I don't own a mauve tie but do where a lot of light green, orange, pink, and blue shirts and ties during the summer. Could I wear this without a tie? What about a navy suit and silver tie?

Versatile? Well navy, white and some classic ancient madder prints in rich colors are versatile. These are attractive and would be very nice paired occasionally with a navy, tan or cream jacket or suit and a white, blue or pink shirt. The color is a bit casual so it is ideal for a party, wedding, going out on the town but not for serious business and not for frequent wearing.
