The MC forum isn't really that fun anymore

The B & S forum is pretty cutthroat and really populated by "senior" sellers and flippers.
And as for the MC forum itself, I dunno, I just feel like I am not getting as much out of the forum now in terms of actually learning about clothes and shoes.
I think a lot of the comments have become just one-liners rather than thoughtful discussions.
Other than the WAYWT thread, I find myself visiting it less and less.

Welcome to 2008!

How many times must we do this?

MC is really great when you're new, but its usefulness is somewhat limited. MC, more so than SW&D, is less prone to following trends and changes, so the scope of things that can be discussed is relatively narrow. Once you've learned a bunch and started to upgrade your wardrobe, the incentive to post frequently is diminished. Unless you're one of the posters who is extremely knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge, MC becomes more of a reference than a place where you spend most of your time on SF. It is at this point that many of the long-time users transition lower on the page, so to speak.

Guys, I'm seriously thinking about bringing MC back. I dress like crap most days, but once in a while I can probably get away with wearing the good stuff and snapping a pic before the Mrs. wakes up. Not sure if I can put up with the criticism though. I'm pretty thin-skinned and cry easily these days. ETA: HOLY SHIT! HAPPY 21K POASTS TO T-BONE! OMG THIS is a Momentous Achievement. I'd like to thank everyone for their inspiration and perspiration in helping me become the juggernaut known as Thomas.

I don't know enough about conservative fine tailoring to join the discussion and I don't care enough about learning to read it. Then only threads I like are the [Non]Sartorialist photothreads, soporific tie porn, creepy sartorial images, and whatever Foo is doing.

Question: Who the hell are you and why does your opinion matter?
