My Xbox sits in my basement, boxed up, yearning for the day with the next Elder Scrolls game is released and it's once again used regularly from midnight to 4 A.M.

Those game are time traps. Morrowind alone took so many hours...

I removed steam from my computer, so I no longer have access to video games on my computer. Now I have shit tons of time to focus on schoolwork and read styleforum!~!

I recently got sucked into two flash animation games on deadwhale called Gold Miner and Gold Strike. I thought I had kicked them both, but relapsed with Gold Strike. Last night when I got nearish to the end of level 8, which is about as well as I've ever done, I decided that would be the high note I would leave on.

So I swear before all of you today that I will not be playing these games anymore. If any of you are able to get past level 8 of Gold Strike, though, I'd love to hear it.

The game sucks actually because it starts off way too slow and then gets way too difficult around levels seven and eight. Normally for the first three levels, I bide my time downloading stuff I bookmarked on filestube.

I am now on the wrong side of 40. Played Netquake off a T1 in the mid-90s when fanbois were mainly on dialup. Was in beta for EQ (1998-9) and rolled uber guild in EQ until 2003. Started WoW on opening weekend (04 Thanksgiving) and quit when we had MC on farm status in the summer of 05. Went back for WotLK and was #11 tank on the server in no time (deathknight). Quit again when my guild had Nax (all four quadrants) on farm status.

About to download Rift.

I used to be a good video game player too. But maybe did not play as much as you did. Anyway i bought all the PS, from PS2 to PS3 and Xbox. But right now I can go for about six months without even turning those on, and yes they are still in my living room and I clean them all the time when cleaning the house. That is to say that I clean it more than I play it right now. The only rare occasions I still play is only when I have some very nice buddies come over and we have nothing good to do.

Started playing WoW 1st year of University because of roommate. Only break I've had since then was for a summer when I was too busy with an internship. Still playing casually (4th year student), so long as close rl and in game friends are still playing, it's worth it for cheap entertainment.

The last game I was heavily into was Guns of the Patriots and that was maybe 2 years ago. I love video games, but they are such a waste of time. I could be doing something more productive with my time and actually get something out of it.

Pretty sure I will pick up gaming again later in the future, but not gonna waste my youth on games right now.

I think Oblivion 2 may shake things up for me. I have a very good memory of taking a week off from work and playing Fallout to death, and O2 looks to be in that league.

Other than that I'm trying to get into Halo Reach and have to say I'm VERY impressed with the MP capabilities.
