But I always have time to watch Keen Eddie (TV show now on DVD). I got Mrs T hooked and so she spun through the series (my second time to watch). She got our FE student hooked, so we both watched as he spun through the series. Witty, addictive, and ended too soon.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Not really a fan of Ron Howard or Jim Carrey, but it's become required watching this time of year. It just doesn't feel like Christmas without this movie, peppermint pinwheel cookies, and endless road trips around Houston to visit relatives we see entirely too seldom.

I only watch it in French. I'll check out Monsters Inc. Thanks for the suggestion.
My kids watch all their DVDs in French and as a bilingual, I have to say that the dubbing of Finding Nemo is simply outstanding. The best I have ever heard (and I hear lots). It's very well translated and interpreted and I find myself laughing more than in the English version, which is already quite witty. The Dory voice is amazing and just as good, if not better, than Ellen Degeneris. I have seen it in Spanish too and liked it as well. My son can recite many scenes by heart and we have lots of fun acting them out. Nemo is probably my favorite kids' movie, though I have a soft spot for Lion King too. I guess it's the whole father-son relationship thing...

I thought the mini-series was much better than the Lynch version. The use of all those (presumably cheap) Eastern European actors gave the production an alien feel. The costuming was also terrific, especially for the Corrinos. The sequel mini-series, however, was shameful.

Good call on Princess Bride - I'll end up watching it pretty much any time I catch it on cable. "I do not think that word means what you think it means."
That also has to be one of the most faithful book-to-movie conversions I've ever encountered.

Really? I thought it was politically-correct-box-ticking (single parent family, disabled protagonist etc) insipid nothingness. Monters Inc. is loads better.
Finding Nemo is less of a PC-mushfest than it is an adaptation of the Odyssey myth, which is what makes it worthwhile to watch. Another one with the same theme is O Brother Where Art Thou. Monsters Inc is funny.
