Opinions on this pocket square/tie combo - Page 2

Thanks for all the responses guys--I should have known not to ask a question I already knew the answer too: too close in color and too many dots. When I first looked at it I thought it might just be crazy enough to work, but I think the verdict is in. I think a white square in a tv fold would be great, but I was just hoping to go for a little more color and take "festive" as far as possible, since I hardly ever get to wear a suit.

It's a straight full windsor, but the knot came out a little bigger than normal. I've never bought a longer tie, I just try and keep the knot as tight as possible while wrapping to give the maximum amount of length. Sometimes it still comes up short though, so I have to undo it and try again

Bingo! Got it last year on sale at marshall's. $199. I was pretty happy since it's such a basic suit, and I only own three.
