More than most RTW / Less than you would expect for quality bespoke. I'm sure DWFII could give you a quote if you like.

Did you provide your own last or did he make it for you?

Who here shines their own shoes versus taking them to a shoe maker for a shine?

Everybody here shines their own shoes.  I'm not saying that nobody ever has a professional shine, but it is the exception to the rule.

DW provided the last. I had multiple fittings to make sure the shoes were a size Glen.

Actually DW made these for me a couple of years ago, but I'm sure he is staying busy.

It's the off season for elves right now, so they work for cheap. I just leave the shoes out at night next to a couple of candy canes.

DW is a true craftsman, and an artist in his own right.

Thank you. DW allowed me to sit down with him and design the style together. I wanted a short wingtip, with no broguing, and a short heel counter to match. The Adelaide aspect was sort of a last minute design decision on my part, but DW was great to work with. The patina was added by DW and I try to evolve it as I can.

The High Shine polish is my own GlenKaren brand. I wanted a neutral paste polish that would produce the best mirror shine possible, and with the least amount of work, so I created my own. The side benefit is that it smells like oranges when you are applying it.

As far as the sole edge and heel; I normally just use a standard sole edge dressing (like Kiwi), I just haven’t applied it to these shoes yet.
