Thank you. They're actually red, and I cleaned up some of the slight swirl marks I saw after posting that image.

I think that most if not all of the black mark had gone, and I don't think it is at all a factor in the mark that is left - what's left is unfortunately much worse, covering a larger area. I suspect you are right that I applied too much and too vigorously. I probably didn't let it try fully before applying the cream.

I will give your suggestions a try and report back!

Thanks again

Just a quick report back on my grenson boots. They are looking a lot better after a gentle application of renomat, followed by sponging with warm water. I think that now they have dried out it is possible to see that they might benefit from another gentle warm sponging - there is still some wax embedded in the leather.

I was wondering about the next step - it was suggested that I use Saphir Renovator - presumably this contains no waxes? Just a little nervous having got the leather back to something resembling it's original colour!

+1, it's a great product.  I highly recommend it for the cost/benefit ratio it provides.

Renomatted and Reno'd my Strands.  Renomat is literally magic.  Took the old wax off my shoes in seconds.

Those look much better. Well done.

Couldn't have done it without everybody's advice.

Where I live people get beat up for wearing shoes with laces like that! I tease, of course.

Wow, these look incredible compared to what they looked like before.

How long did you let the Renomat sit before brushing it off?

Not the OP but Renomat is a thin liquid which doesn't really get buffed off. It's more used with a cotton pad or cloth, at least this is how I use it.

Polished with Collonil 1909 Wax Polish from Germany
post #4302 of 5706
Amazing shine! However, that can hardly be practical regarding creasing and cracking of the wax? Unless you plan on going around like this:

Does anyone know where I can get any Saphir products in the montreal area. I can't find them anywhere. Most places online don't ship to Canada for a reasonable fee! Thanks in advance.

River full of shine - fantastic. Which shoes are those?

With this polish, wax simply breaks away as shoes flex. It has high concentration of Beeswax for fantastic shine, and selected colour stain for clear reflection.
