Why bother having great shoes if you can't go places where you want to look good?

You can always sit down for the last one if you need to though.

Well, they were veg tanned leather sneakers, but still.

Holy shit, man. I don't wear sneakers, ever, but those are lovely, especially when they are environmentally friendly.

They hold up nice, too, ain't they?

I only wear them in Cambodia. So far, so good.

Hell, they take field conditions like candies, huh?

You ever treat 'em with anything?

I have 2 pairs of Butteros (and one canvas pair) and I've definitely used Renovateur and/or Bick4 on them before. BTW, Yoox just had a blowout sale on them a week or so ago. I picked up this canvas pair for $106. Should be fun to wear casually in the summer.

I went hiking in a forest with them, rode an elephant with them, even got stuck in shin deep mud. They seem fine and dandy. I have used Leather Doctor's Hydrator and Fatliquor on them as well as a brush.

I don't have that great a relationship with canvas shoes, however, for some, they breathe better, so, to each of their own, I guess.

More than just excellent. Reminds me of my vintage combat boots, although mine was treated differently and had seen some very violent use and abuse throughout their life.
