As a general rule, a foot is a foot. Now, that's from a bespoke maker's POV. No two feet are alike but I fit what's there. Lastmakers, however, think that there should be a difference between women's lasts and men's lasts.
Sometimes the modelmaker will make the forepart a little lower on women's lasts--lower toe profile.
All such incidentals being equal, however, I think the only difference is the sizing--the designation printed on the side of the last--women's lasts being sized larger than the equivalent last men's last. I suspect that applies to both stick and girths. When I compare a woman's 8-1/2 D to a man's 7B, I don't see any difference whatsoever.
If you like the styling and the shoes fit...there shouldn't be any downside.
