I like Franco and all, but he looks pretty silly after tonight considering his comments about Gervais laying a dud as host of the Golden Globes. Hathaway sucked, too, so maybe we'll chalk it up to lousy writing.

It's a case of people not knowing the crowd. It's like the stupid bride's maid at a wedding reception whose speech includes 20 inside jokes from their sorority days together that she assumes people are going to somehow understand and laugh at.

Ebert was ripping the telecast for being boring on his twitter feed. Caught the highlights on another website that was broadcasting the feed live.

If the awards were anything to go by, I don't think you'd be missing much.

That's better.

We heard it loud and clear Down Under.

Gervais was balls. The hack quit his little interview sideshow after Shandling made him look like an unfunny, giggling schoolgirl. You want a host for next year? Shandling is your man. In the meantime, let's get off Gervais' beanbag.

Gervais was not as strong as usual at the GG, but so much better than many. Took the piss. Pickle arses hated him. Good. Last night was bad, with the hosts truly dreadful. Embarrassing.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Step Out Together on Oscar Night They've used every clich̩ in the book, describing each other as "family", "best friends" and "great" people Рanything to avoid confirming a relationship. But Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber let actions speak louder than words (again) Sunday night when they turned up together at Vanity Fair's post-Oscars bash. Gomez, in a red Grecian gown by Dolce & Gabbana, and Bieber, in a black tux Рwith a red pocket square to match his date Рlooked every bit the comfortable couple as they posed with their arms around each other before the party, held at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood. As the night went on, the pals shared shots on Twitter, showing Gomez sitting close to Bieber with her hand resting on his knee. But the newly shorn singer wasn't all about his reported ladylove Рaccording to Vanity Fair's official Twitter feed, he also worked the room, chatting with megastars like Mick Jagger and Tom Hanks.
Look at this little shit.

Still trying to determine why it was even nominated.

Yuck. The only thing that would have saved this show was if Banksy had shown up and revealed himself to be . . . Thomas Kinkade.
