Well, I read up on what NY employment law I could online (fuck, I miss being able to access lexis / nexis at school) and if you are let go for job performance, you get unemployment. Actually, if they let you go for no reason at all (i.e. your services are no longer required), you get unemployment.

^ What if they let you go because they just don't like you? And before anyone chimes in, it does happen. There was a segment on Canada AM about it the other day.

I would still get unemployment. I would need to be let go for cause (stealing, outright insubordination, etc...)
