The Bogie Maltese Falcon was like the third version of that movie.

And if you want your mind blown watch Kurosawa's Hidden Fortress. Star Wars was pretty much a remake of the Hidden Fortress but with spaceships instead of samurai.

My opinion is that everyone who was alive during the making of the first one must be dead before there's a remake.

The latest Thomas Crown Affair was one of the few movies I walked out on.
