That longwing looks great! Very tempting. Dig the Skye too but already have a wingtip suede boot

Did Barney's do the size conversion right in your opinion? I don't have any US sized C&J, so just wondering if what they say is a US9D is really a UK 8E.

I'm assuming the size conversion is correct because they fit perfectly. I measure a 9 on a Brannock as well as wear a 9D on the Alden Hampton last. The Sedgemoors fit TTS for me. I checked the C&J site and they list the Sedgemoor as being on the 335 last, but I don't know if a 9D truly equates to an UK 8E as the Barney's site specifies.

Having been introduced to the C&J brand by this community (thanks SF), I've been slowly "cobbling" together a small collection of their footwear, which is pictured below.

My humble C&J collection began with several variations of chukka/desert boots -- my favourite versatile form of footwear -- and is now being extended to their Oxford shoes too.

Several new pairs of Viccel socks -- another brand introduced by this community (again, thanks SF) -- are also pictured alongside my growing C&J footwear collection.

I intend to wear some of the C&J footwear below on their maiden voyages on the WAYWRN thread eventually, once I finished assembling some thread worthy clothing ensembles.   Alas, good things take time.

Warning: Spoiler! (C&J Collection Pictures) (Click to show)

C&J Boots Unlined (from left to right):  359 Hartland (UK 9.5) & 348 Milton (UK 9.5)

C&J Boots Lined (from left to right):  348 Tetbury (UK 10) & 348 Tetbury (UK 10)

C&J Oxfords Capped Semi-Brogue (from left to right):  363 Barrington 2 (UK 9.5) & 348 Westborne (UK 10)

EDIT:  (1)  Fits.  I've included the C&J lasts and my various shoe sizes above, which newcomers to the brand may find helpful when trying to shop remotely via mail order, without the benefit of an in store fitting.   (2) Shoe Trees.  I use Dasco as my standard (light weight) shoe trees supplier, which I use for all my various brands of footwear.  Their shoe trees fit my C&J footwear very nicely.

@PCK1 Thanks for your above note.

Agreed, the Tetbury in dark brown calf are favourite of mine too.  As you may have noticed from the well worn creases in the leather in the earlier pictures.  Alas, my Milton boots in polo suede are still awaiting their maiden voyage when the spring/summer/autumn seasons return here down under in  New Zealand, where it's presently the tail end of winter.

BTW, I intend to buy a pair of Hartland boots in mushroom suede for the approaching spring/summer months down under and for the perpetual tropical weather in South East Asia.  So, if your pair of Hartland boots happen to be in a UK 9.5 size, then I would be interested to buy them from you -- if you no longer want them.  Especially, as they're no longer available in mushroom suede from C&J.

Attention: C&J Barrington 2 and/or 363 Last Fans

My C&J contact in the United Kingdom has just informed me that they're now taking orders for the Barrington 2 hand-grade oxford capped semi-brogue shoe in black leather.

Personally, I'm also interested in buying the shoe in antique dark brown leather too.  Alas, C&J have no firm plans yet to make it as a standard model.  So, only the "special order" option is available at this time.

If other thread members are interested in purchasing the Barrington 2 in antique dark brown leather, then perhaps you could chime in here too, to let the C&J representative on this thread know.

EDIT:  Apparently, C&J's policy is typically to only produce leather shoes in black and "only one shade of brown".  There appear to be periodic exceptions to this policy however, the policy is in effect now for the 363 Barrington 2 oxfords.

I recently acquired this model in tan antique calf. A very attractive shoe. fing02[1].gif

Sorry if I missed it - what is the shoe on the right and does it come in any other colors?  I have an old Church's pair in that same style (looks basically identical) and I do not think they make it anymore.  Have been trying to find a similar version as I love that shoe.  Thanks.

EDIT:  OOPS.  That IS the Edgeware.  My bad.  Good to know about this model…

The Edgware also comes in dark brown.

Edit, sorry to the poster above, I meant to quote you but cocked up.

@daveathall  Your 348 Westbornes in chestnut brown (on the left) look like a "well worn in" (aka favourites) pair of shoes.

If I don't wish to spring for the price of a special order pair of 363 Barrington 2s in antique dark brown, then I will be opting to buy a pair like your Westbornes.

Not being a regular CBD dress type, I love the versatility of semi-brogue shoes.  You can either dress them down with slacks/jeans and odd jacket or dress them up with a lounge suit, without setting off major discordance alarm bells on either side.
