I'm pretty sure I saw those in Barneys NY last night. There were two pair that looked very similar, don't recall the name of the other.

It is indeed the Sommerville, on the 341. I saw some at the Barney's store on Madison the other day. (Not on sale though - otherwise those would have been mine). Price around $700ish.

In store they said the last is the 363 - same as the Lonsdale

69 or 92 Jermyn?  Mail order department @ Royal Arcade told me they don't have Somerville in stock.

Ah. At Barney's the SA I talked to said the 341 - and it sure did look like it. Seems quite similar indeed - I couldn't tell it apart from a 341 shoe. Though of course I'd be inclined to trust a C&J store SA rather than a Barney's. Is it perhaps the updated 341?

The 341 is a main collection last, the 363 a handgrade. They may be very similar in the same way that 348 and 358 are very close if not identical.

Another question for the knowledgeable people at SF:

For the Northcote, what is the leather used? It is described as "Wax Calf" - is this the same as the cavalry calf of yore? Is it corrected grain? Any experience with how it ages?

can we get an action shot of this boot? i am afraid the tip of the last might be too long relative to the pant cuff.

^ why not just chop it off?
