A question of size: If I wear 9.5 D in Alden's Barrie and Trubalance last, what size would be my best bet in the Islay? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

OMG, these should be 40 years old shoes...
PS: rule of thumb - UK sizes are ½ size less the US size, i.e. a US9 equals an UK8.5 in most cases
So the general consensus is that If I wear a US 9D AE Jefferson, a UK 8E should fit me for C&J?
Am I right?
Well, not sure it's 40 years old but it's long discontinued, for sure. Are you serious?? The Ludgate is a 40-year-old model?

There is no rule that you have to size down 1 size when buying british shoes; it might be only ½ size; it all depends on your foot and the last the shoe is constructed on.So the general consensus is that If I wear a US 9D AE Jefferson, a UK 8E should fit me for C&J?

Please let there be someone who owns both Aldens and c&J footwear...
I own many of each, shoes and boots.
I am TTS US9.5D.
I am US9D in Alden's Barrie.
I am UK8.5E in all my C&J's.
