The whiskey shell Harlech MTO boots are trickling in to those who ordered them.  Mine just arrived minutes ago.  Some quick pics.

Beautiful, congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Beautiful, congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Farhad. I'm working from home today so will begin the break-in period. And walk like a penguin when I go for the mail.

I will, I will. I actually have not been very good at adhering to the so-called break-in regimen.  I don't live in a city where walking is a way of life and I pretty much have to drive to get anywhere.  Having said that, the whiskeys are barely creasing, which is surprising me.  I've bought new shell where after the first try-on and just a few steps, caused decent creases.  I don't mind creases and I actually like the worn-in look much better. Other than boots I intend to use for dressier wear, I prefer boots to not look new.

Thanks for the encouragement!

I usually never do. My Leffot LWB and Tankers were the first shoes I ever broke in. They were my last two purchases. I just wear them at work 2 days, so maybe a couple hours walking total, and I call it day. Ready for the pavement after that!

I planning to visit Paris next month and was wondering how the Paris stores were. Do they carry any of the C&J boots? Is it worth the visit? Thanks.

If you're in Paris, you'll find C&J models exclusive to the city (i.e. aren't sold anywhere else but France). Good opportunity to pick up a rare model (handgrades included).

Definitely worth the visit. Paris stocks items/styles that are not available through any of the other stores and that cannot be ordered (unless MTO).

FWIW, I have various C&J shell models and none of them crease much - some prefer that, some don't.
