What makes you think the current model is made by C&J?

Are you referring to my post? If so, see: http://www.shipton-usa.com/crockett-and-jones.html. It appears they have several makeups made by C&J. I recall seeing posts on SF and AAAC about C&J making S&H shoes as well.

Hello. Have a sizing question. Have had problems with sizing in Aldens, so am not quite sure how to go in C&J. Just received the RL Marlow shortwings that I ordered and am not sure if they're too small. The 8 that I had tried on in-store seemed a bit big, so we ordered a 7.5. Heel feels snug, big toes have plenty of room, and the area in the laces on the vamp has the panels close, but not quite touching (all of which is good). However, the little toe on each foot is a little snug, moreso than any shoe I've owned. I'd call it snug, or a little tight, but not painful. I'm just concerned that with a little wear either the toes will be abused or that they will wear through the lining of the shoe.

What do you think? Will the breaking in of the double-leather sole create more room for the little toe on each foot? I'm very hesitant to work from my shoe store measurement or the size of my barrie PTBs, because those seem a little extra roomy. Would it help to say that I tried on a forest lasted 7.5 in the carmina shoes at Epaulet which fit well? Thanks in advance for the help. I'll try the mac wear-them-on-the-carpet method at first and try to figure this out.

Order an 8 too. Try them both on and keep the one that fits best.

I went TTS for my Marlows and they fit well.

Hi, I just got a pair of Black Antique Nubuck Tetbury. Have ordered the C&J wax polish, and also looking at getting Saphir Renovateur and Saphir Cream polish.

For the cream polish, should I get black or neutral colour? On the C&J care video, the french fellow says to apply a neutral cream before applying a wax polish. Is he talking about cream polish or conditioning (renovatuer) cream?
