Increase in demand = increase in prices. No different from any luxury brands like Omega, Rolex, Burberry, Porsche, etc etc...

My next pair will definitely be from Vass!!!

I am looking to Carmina and they have increase prices as well, like 40 euros more. My concern now is if we are entering in the overprice territory a bit with CJ and Carmina

Every Northhampton shoemaker has been increasing prices over the course of the past decade. EG, JL, and G&G were all well under $1000 USD a decade ago (well with G&G starting in 2008).

I don't think increase in demand is the cause of the price increases. I think it's mainly increase for inflation which I think is somewhere in the 4% range (someone correct me if I am wrong in that figure). You are correct that most brands do it though.

When I bought my Drummonds about 2 years ago, the MSRP was GBP 320.

New Nortcotes today! Phone cam pic makes them look a lot "redder" than they actually are!

Great pics!  Happen to have my Northcotes on today as the weather is tending to rain here, with navy pants as it would happen.  Except that my shoes have a few more months of wear that could be a photo from under my desk (you're not under my desk, are you?)

LOL! .....Hope not!

I have UK7,5 so I wonder how different they will look 3 sizes smaller... This is all quite exciting :-)

Even though they are on the 348, they are MUCH "heavier" looking than my Tetburys, that look...elegant...in comparison! The soles are thicker!

I thought 337 as they are made under license to the famous McAfee firm.

No shots of the soles to see if they are hand grades until they arrive.

Nice shoes, I saw them or a similar pair listed on eBay recently before being picked up by Shoes of Distinction on there.

If they're made for McAfee then they would have been made some time before the handgrade specification existed as a name. In my experience, none of the C&J shoes made for McAfee had channelled stitching but all have been of very good quality.
