You´re right, medallion is different. I was comparing your Argyll pic with other C&J Longwings I came across.

I really hope the Newquay will be on the 341 last and not the 348. It's a bit hard to judge from the photos...

They look a bit similar to these, which are on the 348. I can't tell from the pics either though.

Looks like the Hove, which is on the 348.

I meant that I can't tell Newquay is on the 348 or not. I suspect it is but can't say for certain.

According to this they're on the 341, though from that twitter pic I would've guessed something like the 360.

Is AS Exclusive really better than C&J benchgrade? AS Exclusive seems quite a bit cheaper than C&J benchgrade...

Someone said the leather of AS Exclusive is better than C&J Benchgrade and the AS Exclusive is Oak Bark leather soles. That's what I heard in this forum.

Yes, they are closer to being on par with C&J Handgrade (just a hair below IMHO). Not sure where you are seeing them for a lot cheaper than C&J Benchgrade, they retail at around £400 in the UK and start at around $725 in the US.

Anyone know how the Alfred Sargent Montague boot (AS 98 last) compares to the C&J Coniston boot (325 last)?

From my experience, owning numerous shoes from these various lines, compared to BG, AS Exclusive has better leather uppers, more detail on the sole (i.e., beveled edge), closed channeled soles, and softer lining. Definitely much better than the BG; the AS Exclusive is much more comparable to the HG line.

I do like the look and almost jumped on a pair of those (or something that look like them) some time ago but hessitated because I also wanted to get a suede chukka and felt they would be too similar (heh, this logic never worked for cutting down shoes)...

Can someone please tell me the name of the leather and the type of grade (Hand, Bench, if any) used in Northcote and in Conistons. Thanks!

The Northcote is benchgrade and I believe the leather is waxed leather.  I have a pair, and they're great boots.
