There were 60% off at Barney's for C&J

Barney's has some great prices on shoes right now. The C&Js are priced to move, but limited sizing left in the chelsea boots.

If you can get Christopher Forbes to ship them via Royal Mail/Parcel Force, the chances of getting dinged for customs/duty is slim to none.
It looks like they use DHL though. In my experience I've been dinged with customs/duty about 1/3 of the time with DHL.
If you do get hit with duty, it'll be around 9%.
DHL's fees aren't too bad. My last DHL shipment fees were $6.50.
Personally I'd just order them from Barney's. Bird-in-the-hand and all.
Also, given past experience with Barney's, I wouldn't cancel your CF order until you get them.
Barney's web site sometimes has a tendency to show availability that isn't there.

Christopher Forbes will ship your parcel via Royal Mail; just let Alastair know prior to placing your order. Royal Mail is a bit more expensive than the private carriers, and it has a weight limit of 2 kilos which limits you to one pair per parcel. This can certainly add up if you're buying two or more pairs as the private carriers, which don't impose such a ridiculously light limit, will charge much less for one parcel containing more than one pair.

Keep in mind that in addition to the customs you will likely be charged the private carrier's brokerage fees too. You can check with a carrier what those fees will be.

Just received a pair of Pembroke from Barney's this morning. It is absolutely amazing and I have to say the quality and the 325 last looks so much better than Alden Barrie.
