I liked Frank the Sheep, why did you change it?

Thanks. I don't really know about that.
These Harvard are a 9D US and, to me, they fit just perfectly. I mean 9D US is also my standard size (8.5D UK for Chukka or even 8E UK for some others C&J...).
Hope this helps.

Because when i first signed up here i just wanted to ask one question and just took the first name that came to mind, right then we had this commercial i sweden with the main character Frank, who is a sheep. It´s making fun of us swedes because we don´t know how to prounonce Cheap and Sheep right. The commercial is for a phone company who wants someone who know cheap and they get Frank.

Anyway, i preatty much felt it was quite silly to write on a forum as a grown man and call your self Frank the sheep....maybe not. Your post almost make me change my mind again :-)

Well, this is quite "personal" I guess since many folks may not agree with me.

So  my "loafers dream team" would be (there's no order) : Alden LHS for BB, the Lopez by John Lobb and the cordovan Harvard by C&J. Different styles...

Go back to Frank the Sheep. It is original and has more character. These things are no accident and it's you. wear it proud.

Another pic of the same pair, but here in the daylight and with denim.

Of course, these were never waxed and never creamed. Only brushed before and after each wearing. But you all know that.

I've got the left ones in tan calf (no pebble-grain) - which makes them regular tan-serrated-sock-liner FAM, and they are, along with my Conistons, my go-to shoe for winter. Sole smells lovely as well.

I would love a pair in tan. I could never get them in my size in the US. I see few of them on eBay every once in a while, but in smaller sizes.

I suspected they might be burgundy, but thought the website must have it right ....
I have also seen it the other way where others refer to dark brown as burgundy. Go figure ....

I bought them nearly 2 years ago. the color is pretty similar to AE burgundy shell, not the Alden version of #8. it's certainly not the brown on the Lindrick / Marlow line.
the wonders of gmail. conversation from January 2011:
Me to C&J:
"Hello,
I am interested in the Peal & Co.® Cordovan Boot you have made for Brooks Brothers. But, I am unclear on what color this boot is. Is it Dark Brown or Burgundy?
This is the boot:
http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=523&Product_Id=1481969&Parent_Id=522&default_color=BROWN&sort_by=&sectioncolor=&sectionsize="
C&J to me:
"the Peel boots are made in a Burgundy shell cordovan."

I brought the matter to their attention (I imagine others have too). The color description has been corrected on the BB website.

I am TTS 9.5D. I first ordered a 9.5D in this boot but have sent it back in favor of a 10D. I found the 9.5D's to be too snug - particularly for the way I like a boot to fit.
