It's been a while since Northcote (1st on left) has been posted in this thread and its a boot I nearly always overlook when considering a C&J boot.
C&J say the uppers are made with Wax Calf. Is this a corrected grain/binder leather that won't take on a patina over time? BTW Lovely boot collection S_S.

BTW C&J Hallam, an oxford toe cap shoe also comes in waxed calf so owners of that shoe might also have an view on whether the leather is able to take on a patina.
