Can someone share some buying and shipping experience with US or Canada when ordering from Robert Old?

I live in Canada, and I've ordered two pairs of C&Js from Robert Old. The first was a pair of Pembrokes, the second a pair of brown Audleys. They didn't have any Audleys on hand, so they had to order a pair from the C&J warehouse, but they were more than helpful in acquiring a pair for me and delivery was a) free and b) really, really fast. Like 4-5 days. And I didn't pay a dime in duties/taxes/etc (could've just been lucky with that). I highly recommended Robert Old.

So I just got these:

Looks like a C&J Clifford apart from the sole. The brogueing is practically identical apart from the medallion. However, the writing inside does not seem to contain any reference to the "337". I haven't been able to get home yet to compare them to my other 337 shoes - but the look is almost identical. Would anyone be able to shed some light on this?

This is what is written on the inside: "42050026 R504587/003 10."

Made by AS, perhaps?

Seen shoes with this nail pattern in the BB store in Madison. Interestingly, the nail pattern is similar to my EGs... Overall BB Peal shoes for $200 is not bad.

Good price for a shoe that was needed - a more dressy wingtip. The nail pattern and heel does not line up with Peal by C&J - but the brogueing is so similar:

Also, the brogueing is very different from AS offerings.

Funny! I got a pair of Pembrokes from Robert Old as well and the customer service was great. They had a pair that a customer had tried on and slightly creased the vamp which they sold to me as seconds. To be honest, I would have ended up putting the creases in myself after the first one or two wearings.

They were great to deal with and I would have no issues buying from them again.

Hi,

I ordered them on 12 December and got them on 9 Jan - probably because of the Christmas rush and also that packages seem to take longer to get to Australia from the UK than from the US.
