I'm looking at some BB Peal & Co. bals. I have AE 5th Aves in 11D. The fit is good, maybe a little tight in the toe box at the end of the day. Any insight on whether to go 11D on the Peals or size up to 11.5D?

Has anyone else previously ordered from Robert Old to the US? I'm trying to find out if I will be hit with customs or not.

Best way is to contact them and ask who they use as a currier. Honestly, there is always a possibility of getting customs fees. The issue is that certain curriers (i.e., DHL) charge handling fees that are excessive (in my opinion). Once you find out who they use, search the frequency people had been charged customs.

I've never been hit with customs with DHL. However, other people seem to have ordering from other websites. I'm thinking it''ll provide a more accurate expectation to ask people who have ordered from Robert Old specifically. I'm doing this because the customs fee+international purchase fee (my bank) might not make it worthwhile to order C&J at a cheaper price overseas rather than the US flagship store in NYC. But good idea-- I've just e-mailed RO to get info on the courier

Thanks Burton and Gdot.

One year old. Various waxes, black+dark brown + tan. Some Saphir Créme 1925 and Reno.

I love them.

Hey guys,

May I asked the educated members the difference between last 358 (my current chadwick 2) with last 351 ( the shoe I want to get)?

I wears UK9.5 in last 358 for the single monk, and UK9 with my Selbourne for some reason, possibly due to the wide front..

Any chance I would be able to fit in a pair of UK9.5 last 351 2 eyelet derby on the Ascot's shoes?

Cheers

Evil shoes. I hope you beat them severely for their selfish behavior! biggrin.gif

Frankly I didn't realize the English were that specifically attached to their Spainish brethren. But I'm not currently up to date on the state of shoe politics and social alliances.

Have you seen that NK has started selling Carminas in Sthlm? I am currently drawing up some MTO plans and the store (Paul & Friends) told me that they will soon be ready to take orders!
