Look at their inventory - it's all from Barney's latest list!
But at crazy low prices.
Wtf?

And if you look at the sizing it's all screwed up info

I have a sizing question for anyone that has the Merton loafer on the 348 last. I generally find the 348 to fit like a glove but have never tried a loafer in that last. I'm thinking of getting a pair of Mertons and know that a lot of people size down for loafers.

Did anyone size down for the Mertons or are the true to size?

Thanks!

Good good:happy: Congrats man!
How do they fit?

Gday,

They fit perfectly actually. I have slightly wide feet and they are great. Straight out of the box I wanted to walk up the street in them. The leather is stiff where it needs to be and the soles are nice and soft.

These chukkas have satisfied my chukka fetish for now.

Cheers

I went to one of the Crockett and Jones store and apparently the Snowdon is not bellow tongued any more but when did this happen? I seem to remember it being bellowed a while ago... If its a recent thing then what's the odds of it being bellowed again?

If helpful for anyone seeking sizing advice for a loafer on the 363 last (I bought a polo suede Cavendish), I had to size down 1/2 a size from what I would normally wear on the 337 or 348 last. Learned it the hard way when I went with my regular 10UK, but the 363 last (at least the loafer) was too long. Exchanged for a 9.5UK and it's a perfect fit with no heel slippage. First time I've ever had to size down before, even with a loafer.

What has the experience been on US sizing for C&J from Barneys? I bought a Wycombe marked 8.5D and a Cavendish 2 in 9D but the Wycombe feels quite a bit bigger/longer where the Cavendish fits well and even snug over the instep. Would these still equate to a UK 7.5E and 8E or is this not accurate?

I'm normally an 8EE/EEE in AE, and I thought there was no way the Wycombe would be large enough for my wide feet, but the facings were actually touching.

I feel like they might be a half size bigger than marked. I have a pair of C&J for Barney's patent oxfords that feel a little big for a US 9D. I typically wear UK 8E for C&J.

I haven't had luck with Barney's. I have tried different C&J in 348 last and they were both long and tight! I have a Hallam from sky valet in 8UK is a bit loose at the heel, but comfortable otherwise. On the other hand, whatever I tried from Barney's 8, 8.5, or 9 US is always painful and long at the same time. I've been wondering if what they sell is really an D not E fitting

My US 9D patent leather C&J, sorry don't know what the name of it is, feels close to my UK 8.5E 348 last Drummonds in width, but the Drummonds are longer.

I remember there was a way to decode the C&J size if you look on the insole of the there should be a some numbers "scratched" into it? I don't remember how to decode though.
