These were my first C&J, a few years ago, although they haven't had a great deal of wear.

I really like the Onslows in tan. Black pebble grain reminds me of sofas or car seats for some reason.

I had a pair of them and loved them, but they dug into my ankle terribly - that part was noticeably higher than my Onslows. I had to sell them in the end. Complete with a little blood stain by one ankle confused.gif

Thanks. Went to try on last night and the 9D fit a little loose for me and they didn't have an 8.5D for me to try on, so I passed. I wear 8.5D in Marlow Wingtips for reference, which I prefer the fit of more.

First outing for these this winter

very nice cleave. cant go wrong with a dressy chelsea

i think a chelsea is far more attractive than jodphur. i think that just speaks to how diversely a chelsea boot can be styled. lourve it

Thanks man

I think they're less versatile in black. I have some lovely RM Williams in brown so thought I'd mix it up when I bought these.

Some will hate when paired with a blue pinstripe. Who cares!

Really? i actually prefer them in black! I recently sold a pair lasted on the 348 last in brown in favor for a pair of black rlpl from silvano sassetti. so yeah i love the chelsea in black. besides a professional, business interview black shoe, is there another shoe style that is better matched with black leather?
