You can't buy through their site, only their retail stores.

You can buy anything you want from their website if you contact them via email. They quoted me a price less than Pediwear. ( I have to pay VAT, so i dont know if that works for outside of Europe).

I've been in the great position of finishing at 1:30pm on a Friday and the route home takes me past Northampton, that has now changed as of yesterday so took a last opportunity to drop into the Crockett & Jones factory shop on the way past.

A few interesting items in my size but settled on a pair of Lowndes in aDark Brown Burnished Calf.

I do like double monks so it was an easy choice, a couple of marks on the leather hence being in the factory shop but nothing that bothers me too much.

All set for my 1st day in my new job on Monday!

I remember you posting about them, but don't recall seing a picture. Would be nice, when you have the time.

Ps the price quote is ex VAT.

Wow, and I'm assuming we tack on 30gbp for shipping? That equates to $920, and customs/duties if we get unlucky? I was thinking about selling my #8 Alden captoe boots and another pair of #8 Aldens to fund this because for me, brown is a much more useful color and it seems impossible to get a pair of cigar captoe boots. But $920 + possible customs makes me hesitant. Maybe I'll hold onto these #8's for a little longer and think about this...

Shipment arrived yesterday. The box contained the 348 lasted Tetbury boot in brown calf???????

The Tetbury was labeled 9D - Barneys website lists them as 9 US (42 EU 8 UK) . I figured I would try them on to check fit. Bear in mind all of my English sized C&J's are UK8.5E (including models on the 348 last). The Tetbury in 9D was ridiculously long in comparison to my UK8.5E's. Even had I ordered the Tetbury, which I didn't, I would have returned them for being too long. Strange .....

Took delivery yesterday of the correct shoe I originally ordered - Trafford in Barneys size 9 US (42 EU 8 UK). It is on last 359. Barneys Madson Ave had it. They are too long. Longer than my C&Js sized UK8.5. They are being returned.

I guess the next time I order from Barneys I will have to order their size 8.5 US (7.5 UK). This is curious given that I have literally never ordered a shoe, from any maker, in US size 8.5 or in UK size 7.5. baldy[1].gif

Bought the Teign loafer, love them. Paid (FFRP) because I am impatient, but I wore them yesterday and they are sublime. Pics to follow, thanks to the C&J thread for the help.

Can someone point out why C&J doesn't make the Connaught in Dark Brown Calf?

I need a second pair of their Oxford shoes for everyday use and I find that their Chestnut Calf brings the unnecessary attention to the feet when combined with conservative colors of suit, such as Dark Gray or Navy.. They would be just fine in a darker shade of brown .. I wish they put more color option, basically you can choose between Black and Chestnut ..

C&J usually has two sales a year, June and Christmas.  Selected styles only of course.  But as yet there have been no details on this year's June sale.

Get the dark brown HG Audley. It's worth the extra $$.

Thanks for the suggestion @sevenfoldtieguy .. It's just that I am obsessed wearing "as less pointy oxford as possible", therefore 236 and Connaught is far I would go ..

Will call their stores on Monday, could be there are some leftovers from the past seasons in Dark Brown .. It's just that I am surprised they only offer Chestnut beside black .. It's pretty much conservative shoe and last produced for over 30 years by C&J .. Some more color option to choose from would be nice ..
