Ohhh...what do we have in there?

Let me take a guess:

  • Drummond in Beechnut
  • Hallam in Expresso Suede
  • Merton in Mink Suede
  • Merton in Beechnut.

Ok, it wasn't really a guess

G. Nelson - damn you and your freakish thread-searching capability for making me look a) lazy and b) dim-witted.

And, also congratulations and felicitations on the new shoes, GDot

Will endeavour to reciprocate by documenting my most recent additions soon - Selbourne and Weymouth.....

You couldn't have known that he'd already posted it, dandie. I only searched because I'd seen it before.

Looking forward to all the pics!

Gdot, may I ask where you made your purchase?

Related note - has anyone made purchases from PLal lately? Are the shoes they sell "first quality" or should I expect some issues commensurate with the lower price? The prices certainly are quite good, although I have no idea the shipping and insurance cost to ship to the U.S.

I've bought three pairs of C&J shoes from P Lal and all seem to be first quality. Just be aware that they are no longer stocking Crockett and Jones shoes so what they have in stock is all that is left.

My Weymouths cost RM75 (or about USD25-30) to ship to me with tracking.

I would suggest you email them for availability and shipping costs.

I simply called my SA at the Jermyn St. store, read him my list, gave him my credit card number and paid the duty upon arrival. No muss, no fuss, no stress. They run a 'class act' at the stores in London. The service is impeccible. Highly recommended if this is important to you.

You might also consider whether or not lasted trees are important to you. As they are not offered by Edwards of Manchester etc. etc.

Unfortunately the pesky job thing is going to keep me from creating shoe Appreciation this afternoon as planned. Here's the new group of C&J benchgrades. Lowly as they are in the shoe totem pole I still find them to be worthwhile new additions for daily wear.

Better Appreciation will be forthcoming at some point.

Nice looking shoes, Gdot. They look much better with C&J trees. Did they say they are lasted? I thought they weren't.

My latest acquisition from C&J, can't bring myself to wear them outside the house just yet. :)

Nice! I like my Belgraves a lot. Have been thinking about picking up a matching belt but that's $175 I could put toward another pair of shoes...

I just ordered my first pair of C&Js today. Belgrave in Chestnut with lasted shoe trees.
