I am expecting a pair of Skye 2 boots to be shipped out tomorrow from Pernilla at C&J London. Has anyone had to pay duties on items shipped from C&J UK? If so, how much? Also how long did it take for the items to be delivered once shipped?

I have had one package shipped from C&J London to here in the U.S.  It took approximately 48 hours (very fast) and I did not have to pay duties.  The item in question was a pair of Pembrokes.

Did they try to get you to order from the NY store?

Nope. I emailed Lauren and basically said "I would like to order from you rather than from the US stores due to the favorable exchange rate" and she said "sure, that is not a problem." She never once suggested or implied I should go through the NYC store.

That's good to know, thanks.

Do you mind pm'ing me the price on the Pembrokes?

Not at all.  I worked with Pernilla and Lauren through email on various questions.  They were very helpful and courteous.  The never once mentioned anything about the NY store.

This is my first experience ordering through the UK store so I had many questions.  This may be helpful information for some of you considering doing the same thing.

My Skye 2 boots were shipped out today.  Shipping was 30 GBP.  I received the tracking number and the carrier is UPS.  The UPS site hasn't been updated with the estimated arrival time yet, but Pernilla told me that most items are delivered in 1 - 3 days.  Probably 1 day if you live in NY, but longer if you live elsewhere would be my guess.  Apparently as long as the value of the shoes are less than $800 there won't be a duty fee.

I don't know how much shipping would cost if you had to return them for a sizing issue, but hopefully I won't have to do that.  I know they can't be returned to the NY store though.

Gaah! Those are stunning. I'm so jealous of all you gents with normal width feet who were able to participate. I actually considered getting my big toes removed in order to join this GMTO...

I received my Skye 2 boots today and after only 48 hours of being notified they were shipped.
