Thanks @alexSF. I already have a pair of Islay so not sure I want a shoe version too.

In this case, is the price difference from main collection to hand grade worth it?

Yes. The reduction in the appearance of creases is well worth the extra hundred bucks, and lasts like 337 are gorgeous. And bark tanned soles are worth caring about btw.

Always a tricky question, but, yes, for me the price difference is justified given the noticeably better leather quality (and the soles, the durability is so much better). A big difference when the shoes are new, and the difference only becomes greater with years of wear.

Why don't you care about that? Are you going to change the soles with studded Dainite soles immediately?

Thanks everyone.  Let me clarify what I meant: Saying "If I don't care" was not meant to indicate that I actually don't care.  Rather I don't want to take those factors (bark tanned sole, close channel stitching, and fiddled waste) into consideration for the particular purchase I am contemplating at this time.  This pair of shoes will not be worn very often, and won't be walked in outdoors very much even when they are worn. So I expect even a main collection shoe to last a very long time.  This is why I wanted to know if the increase in price is worthwhile only factoring in the quality of the leather and the beauty of the last.

The reduction in the appearance of creases that @jssdc mentioned is something that I am thinking might be worth the upgrade.  If anyone here owns a worn pair of main collection and a worn pair of handgrades, I'd love to see some comparison photos.

Thanks everyone!

Here you go.  Creases are a matter of leather quality, fit and personal way of walking.  Most of my shoes are very well worn.

HG shoes are worth a try; difference is considerable although benchgrade are great shoes.

Thanks for the photos. The only thing is that the Northcote boots have a waxed leather. Not sure if that affects the creasing. If so then it's not quite an apples to apples comparison.

Has anyone found 337 to run large/roomy? I've read various impressions of it but overall feedback is pretty mixed.

So I am wearing my MTO Lindricks for the first time and I noticed the last shape seems a bit different. Am I crazy or does anyone else see this?

Yep, they are totally messed up.  Quickly Remove them from your feet.  Put them in a box and send them to me.  I will happily "dispose" of them for you.

Are those made on the 335 or the 325?

They are amazing either way.

You're not crazy. To my eye it looks different. Almost as if the right foot is a a width up from the left. I'd take a measuring tape to it.

They look wider than original Lindrick
Are they on 335?
yes, supposed to be 335.

fit is fine on the right, snugger on the left. I assume they will be fine.

Fascinating.

Never heard of that issue with CJ before.

They will most likely break in I think.
