Email Crockett and Jones. Their email address is on their website.

Just for conversation sake, I wear a 9.5 D in almost everything.  I wear a 8.0 unlined C&J chukka (British sizing, which translates to a 9.0 US) and a 8.5 in other C&J shoes.

Most definitely, and they may even surpass G&G at less than half the cost. The leathers and lasts are outstanding, and I think the premium is too cheap...

Agree C&J handgrades are terrific value. Furthermore, the maker has by and large resisted the temptation to introduce new "fashion forward" styles (the Truro trainer notwithstanding). For me, they excel at robust English classics, such as the Bradford captoe derby and the Pembroke full brogue. One caveat about C&J's lasts, however, which makes comparison with G&G difficult: they tend to favour a higher-instep, larger-volume foot. G&G's lasts are much sleeker and suit my shallow foot much better. I would also argue that G&G's manufacture (e.g. neatness and density of stitching) is a level above, even though I often find myself preferring C&J's quintessentially English styles.

Thats the Audley, worn 4-5 times. I guess its an easy fix but it worries me quite a bit.

Other than that, are there any Boots from the handgrades collection, the official site doesnt show much ☹️

I know its a bit of a worry at first sight, but I`d just polish it up, and you will find that as your foot takes its shape and the natural sole shape forms, it will all even out...brush and cream is my recommendation...

This is quite common and happens even with much higher end brands than C&J. It is an extremely easy fix.

The peeling sole channels do happen on all brands, but frankly I've found this to be more of a problem with C&J than other makers. I've had the channels peel while the shoes weren't even being worn. Still a big fan, but i wish they'd put by up for better cement.

Summer suede stocktake (x post apologies)

@Cleav I'm still looking at some unlined suede, either Chukka or Teijn loafer

Regarding colour, I'm drawn to snuff, but feel dark brown will be more formal/adaptable.

Do you find your snuff boots can be worn with as many outfits as dark brown?  Snuff with a suit or business casual for example?

Beautiful, how does the 314 fit compared to Sydney calf?

I only have two pair of Harvards, one lined and one unlined. Last 314 in unlined shell is a dream to wear, very soft leather.
