Suede chukka boots, which to go for?

I like a dainite sole, but leather could be ok.  I'm hard on my toes so would need to Topy or install plates/taps.

Quite fancy unlined - more breathable and comfortable?  Any downsides?

Not a fan of elongated lasts.

Lasts 341 and 325 fit great in a UK 7.5

Any recomendations?

yep, unlined all day

OK, for unlined then, am I looking at "Chukka" (narrow D fit only) or the Milton (elongated 348 last)

Ideally, I'd want a more traditional last in standard width, in unlined Suede.  Does this exist?

Does anyone have the Chukka model in narrow D?

No to D, no experience sorry. I'm UK 7.5 and around depending on last. These are three of my unlined Chukka/Chukka and Chukka 3

Haven't done Milton as last not good for me in a boot, just like the Tetbury.

Very nice Cleav!

How did you get these in standard width?  The C&J website says D width only?  Did you get yours from the factory?

Also, how does that Chukka last feel compared to 341/325?

I've got the unlined Chukka in a D width. I'm pretty sure this is the standard width it comes in, whether it's narrow or not I'm not sure (doesn't feel so).

I sized down half from my normal size as unlined at fits me perfectly.

Went with the C&J/Peal for Brooks "Brogues" today:

PrIxpIX.jpg Have not worn these for a couple of weeks and the left shoe has some blooming esp. in the holes. Right shoe did not develop this.

Chiltern is on the more rounded 224 last, but I believe they are lined.

For anyone interested, there is a GTMO for the C&J Camberley boots in Navy shell cordovan going on - I'm told we only need 1 or 2 more before the order is put through so get in quick if anyone is interested!
