Could you please advise on the fit? Have you went only 1 size down from your normal US size, or 1,5?

I went down 1 from US.
Toe is sort of generous but the rest of it is pretty TTS.

I also jumped on the purdey coniston boat. Thanks for the head's up!

A little research on 325 lasted boots shows some people go down just the 1 size (i.e. 8 UK = 9 US) while others will drop down an extra .5 size to compensate for the more voluminous last and the fact that some boots tend to run a little larger (7.5 UK = 9 US). You might just need to flip a coin.

I tried on both the Coniston and the Islay in the Jermyn street store a few months ago. The coniston on the 325 last is sleeker than the 365 Islay last but fits me really well at 1.5 sizes down from my U.S. 11.

I am 9.5 UK in both lasts.

Wow, crazy fast shipping from Purdey! I just ordered their version of the Coniston yesterday but it's already cleared customs and is supposed to arrive today. It's UPS though and the tracking info already states "receiver must pay the duties or taxes due on the package."

Yes, I got hit for $47 for my Islays shipped to NY.

Cool. Post your impressions when those boots arrive. Really curious.

I saw that on the tracking of my Islays but when I picked up at UPS, they didn't collect anything.
I haven't received a bill.
Yet.

I appreciate the follow up.

Will do. If they actually arrive today, I'll get some pics up tomorrow AM.

Keeping my fingers crossed but even if they do collect duties, for $300 these were still a steal.

yeah $300 for those tan cap toe boots is a crazy price. they didn't have my size sadly
post #10888 of 12811

What's $300?  Doesn't 230 pounds convert to like $325?

Another stupid question, but does the C&J version only come in scotch grain or also this tan calf version as Purdey is selling?  If only in scotch grain can this even be considered a Coniston boot?

And the ever famous triple post, what the heck kind of BS is this.  Both the 11.5 and 12 go from 230 up to 357, it's only the dinky sizes that stay at the lower price.  So much for a new pair of boots.
