Gentlemen,

Your new full brogue C&J boots look like a very serious piece of footwear.

Congrats.

Hey guys,

Latest pickup from Brooks.  Made by C&J. Official color is dark bwn cordovan.

Sizing: I originally got these in 9D (my Marlow size) but got some heel slippage. I am 9d on the Brannock. These are 8.5D. My marlows were "comfortably snug" when first got them.  These are snugger.  However, my marlows have since expanded or maybe my foot settled into the footbed. I think these will eventually fit better than my Marlows since they are tighter.

I'm so jealous - I picked up a pair of those with a good discount awhile back, but the smallest size they offered were still too big for me. I am 8.5D on a Brannock, but even their 8D was too roomy for my feet, for whatever reason. I wonder if I just got an odd sample.

The color on yours looks lighter than the one I had. Yours looks better. I've had to resort to ordering the comparable but chunkier Cardigan 4 in order to get a brown cordovan SWB in a size that works for me, but I like the sleeker look of those and the identical Marlow better.

Considering how popular that shoe is, C&J should just start selling it directly themselves.

I just bought a brand new Harlech in Whiskey Shell Cordovan.

How does this 341 last generally fit?

Thanks

I would say tts - I tried the Teign before and it was my usual size with a very good fit. If you have a wide heel that might be a problem for you though.

I walked into an Auto Zone wearing my whiskey shell Harlechs (from the first GMTO). I was talking to an Auto Zone employee so didn't see this but my wife told me that some guy did a double take and was checking out my boots.

I was somewhat contemplating selling them but maybe I won't now.

Lovely boots, I am going to try on a pair tomorrow. The original Islay boots I had were a bit too wide for me hence I had to sell them.

Finally opened up mine and the toebox is a bit rounded than I'm used to.

Compared with a Alden Barrie that I had lying around:

Decided to treat myself over Xmas and splurge on some nice shoes for work/formal occasions.  Settled on 3 pairs of C&J after some research, and it finally arrived this morning! Can't wait to break them in!
