The C&J Madeleine store, is certainly worth a visit. I reckon Upper Shoes, has the largest offering with a french influence around. Check them out, while in town (oh, and JM Weston and Paraboot too!).
Enjoy your stay.
What are other EU based C&J retailers with unique make-ups as Upper Shoes?

It seems there's "only made for japan", "only made for europe", and "only made for UK"......life sure is complicated at C&J and not made simple

This is frustrating especially when the factory isn't far from where you live!

Sanders did some models for Japan which were great and couldn't be retailed in Europe, I think it's due to the terms and exclusivity of the order from retailers or at times a separate but related distributor. I expect C&J might be more willing to do a very similar custom, albeit at a higher cost.

Does anyone of you have Ripon derby? How happy are you with them? What do you usually wear with them?

I have seen several of the models listed in the Japanese store in the Northampton factory shop when I went last November

Good morning!
I have rather skinny feet. Last/Sizing question:
How do you compare Pembroke and last 325 to Tricker's Bourton last 444 in terms of:
1/ instep volume,
2/ opening size?
... for the same feet size? (I know that last 444 runs large)
Thanks!
