Hi, I have them for at least 1.5 years.

Cheers
Thanks, I have been wondering how the rough outs would age, seen a lot of pictures for new pairs but not so much after a long period of use.

They have held up pretty well, out of curiosity how have you been looking after them?

Hello

I have not pampered them. Just the eventual brushing and applied AFPO's sleeking bone to some inevitable scratches at the toe box.

Cheers

So guys, I ve been wondering about this Black Russian grain GMTO, is it still alive? It looks like the last chance to get a pair in this leather since the tan russian grain just went through a month ago…

The Tan SG Islay gmto has now been sent to the factory. In the meanwhile I'd like to ask folks how does the tan SG age? Does it get lighter or darker?

I am planning to use Saphir shoe cream in Tan.

The tan MTO did close last month and was sent to the factory. The black is still "live" but it's been out there for a while so there is always the chance someone has dropped out. From posts here it seems at least a few of us are still in for the black. Jump on the list and maybe we can close it out!

Stunning, absolutely stunning. Great to see a small but carefully curated collection. I've just seen the price rises at Gaziano and Girling which are just huge! C&J's are modest by comparison. Go on you can afford another pair! 😇
Thank you for the kind words :)

I guess "never say never", right? I may add more in the future if space and finance allow :D

So I wouldn’t use much in the beginning and also not often, and by that I mean the first two years, it’s just that the leather doesn’t neef much and it’s quite well nourish during the tanning process. you actually can damage it by using too much cream.

This is because the sapphire cream has solvent.. the polish too and solvent and some oils will displace the oils from the top layers of the ladder, which were originally put by the Tannery

As long as you don’t dry, your boots on the heater they will be fine, the first few years.
