Hate to do this, but I need to ask (and I didn't want to sift through hundreds of posts for the answer). I recently bought the Tanner goods standard belt in saddle tan/brass. The thing is a monster, and I love it. Should I treat the leather in any way, to preserve the color? Or do people just let it go the way it is? I wonder about mink oil, conditioner etc.

Thanks for any input.

I had been wearing mine for about 5 months without doing anything and it was feeling a little dry so I put on some leather conditioner and it feels great again. Doesn't need to be babied, I like it looking worn in and beat up, but just the occasional care keeps it in shape smile.gif

Also, since I'm posting here, any possibility of getting a belt with a metal keeper? It's the only reason that I don't have a second.

Sure thing! Email sarah@tannergoods.com and ask for some.

We have a few sitting around the workshop that she wouldn't mind popping in an envelope!

Also, good advice for taking care of your product. We don't think you'll need to do much but if it starts to feel a bit dry, a bit of leather conditioner will certainly do the trick.

Anyone know where I can find a double pronged Tanner goods belt? Either mahogony or saddle with brass would be great!

I've looked everywhere (ie. stockists, online site) but can't seem to find one. My brother has one, but won't tell me where he got it from. :(

We aren't making them anymore but we have them in-stock at the flagship store. Give us a call and we can do a phone order for it. They're 25% off until they're all gone.

Also, double's never come in brass hardware but we definitely have the leather options in Saddle tan and Mahogany.

Sorry about that. You should try the Natural color! They patina up quite similarly to the Saddle Tan.
