I need to fade/distress a denim shirt

I made a shirt for a customer out of a decent denim.
we washed it, but of course it still looks too new for the customer.
Any good suggestions to make it look like it was worn for 10 years?

i don't know anyone who will industrial wash one shirt

Honestly, I would tell the customer that he should fade the shirt through wear instead. It will look far better.

We used to do this all the time before distressed denim was available

you have to do it by hand and it takes time.....
sand paper super corse, medium and very fine
rusty metal wire brush
very light bleach wash-too much and it looks fake
Heavy wear on elbows, collar, cuffs, pocket
throw it on asphalt and drag it

Your only recourse is to build an animatronic human that impeccably simulates a person rowing and doing dumbbell curls.

thanks for the advice
He is an older guy, so I don't think he wants to wait years until it is perfect.
I will try some sandpaper on the edges.

Tell that customer time is the better option if he wants distressed! Everything gets better with age in terms of clothing...

Make sure you wear it tucked in so you can get a good cockfade on the shirt as well
