Halp!!!1!

I just got these in the mail, and I can't tell whether I need to return and size down. They're kind of roomy in the waist pre-soak. I hate having to wear a belt to hold up my jeans, I'm not a fan of the diaper-ass effect, and I don't know whether I'm going to have those problems post-stretch.

Pictures are spoiler-ed because they're a) huge (sorry, trying to show detail) and b) of me photographing down the waistband of my jeans.

The jeans are riding a high (well above where I'd wear them) in the fit pics because the denim is too stiff to drape naturally. Even at the point where I normally wear my jeans, though, these are kind of loose.

From what you are saying, I would size down one. I had a similar problem when I tried them on.

My problem is my fat ass thighs. When i size down, they are perfect in waist but wayyy to tight in the thigh. $400 is a shitload of money for jeans that fit so-so.

That's kinda what I was thinking. These feel looser than my Samurais or my SExSC06s, and both of those stretched to beyond the pre-soak waist measurement. The weave on these may be a little tighter (definitely tighter than on the SExSC06s), which could prevent at least some of the stretching. Dunno. I posted on sufu also, and I know some of those guys have been wearing theirs for a few months. Frustrating that I'll have to pay for shipping both ways and wait at least a week and a half to get them back if I return them.

shrinking from soak has been fairly minimal. sorry to break it to you but you really should wear a belt regardless of how it fits on the waist, since with wear they stretch out period. in terms of the pics, it does look like you can size down one. but i wouldnt judge that by waist. you should judge how roomy it is based on your top block ... so arse & thighs. if you think you can size down one and still fit your arse and thighs then do it. if you think it will be too large then just stick with these and do a really really hot soak even twice so in other words waist really doesnt matter since you wear a belt and it stretches anyway. it all coems down to thigh/arse area top block

Yeah...since I have basically zero arse and fairly slim thighs...I seem to have a decent amount of thigh room when I push them down to where I normally wear my jeans...I might sleep on this one and decide after work tomorrow. One guy from sufu chimed in, and he said he "defenently would not size down again", but that doesn't especially make sense, since "defenently" isn't a word, and I didn't size down in the first place.

lol but the whole i wouldnt size down is all relative.

people always have a hard time figuring out their true waist and how that relates to pants. even if you get your true waist, then its are you wearing your jeans AT your waist. so many sizing issues since peeps are all over the place with their measurements and how they wear them, what they ate that morning lol
