Really cool piece I picked up when I was in New York over the holidays but sadly it was a bit of an impulse buy and I've never had a chance to use it.
The Wool Felt collection combines the classic utility of felt and the durability of leather to make a stylish and practical group of bags. The designs are inspired by the military's aesthetic of function without excess. The materials themselves are 25 ounce felt made with 80% wool, 13% nylon and 7% poly, high grade black cowhide and a grey cotton twill lining. All bags feature custom die-cast hardware. The collection nicely mixes traditional menswear materials with utilitarian design to create styles that can be worn casually or formally.
Very roomy bag, can easily fit laptop, and books and stuff.
I paid full price for this when I was there in December but because it's on sale on the website, I will have to bite the bullet. The US website is currently selling this bag for $276 plus tax plus shipping (they don't even ship to Canadian addresses, so you would have to have it shipped to the US and shipped here for Canadian buyers). This color way is currently sold out online. This bag was not sold at Holt so I believe it is unavailable in Canada and no longer on the US website in this colorway.
